Before you say this belongs in the thumbshare section, this thread isnt so i can see your art, or for you to share it. This thread is to teach the highly effective art of "The Critique Sandwich". What im asking is for everyone to look at eachothers gallery, be it writing or drawn, and give it a GOOD look, dont just paroose it over.
This is the formula for a critique sandwich.
Top Slice: look for the first thing you notice in their art, their strongest trait.
Middle Meat: Highlight out a weak point of theirs, a flaw that is consistent in many of their work.
Bottom Slice: look for another strong suit, but one that is more in depth, possibly one that relates to your art.
The reason the ingredients for the critique sandwich are so exact, is because it helps both the artist AND the critic. Having a critical eye for others art helps you to analyze your own.
Enough Talking, lets get to the critiques! you can ask for critiques of your whole gallery, or just one peice, or you can creep and be just a critic.
